Get rid of acne and pimples quickly at home
After and Before
Getting rid of zits, acne, pimples, spots – whatever you like to call them is a problem for people of many ages – not just for teenagers! Pimples can be caused by lots of different combinations of issues from hormonal fluctuations to oil clogged acne-prone skin.
Many people are tired of spending money on acne products that cost too much or that despite all their well promoted foamy action – don’t work or aren’t suited to your skin type. Many acne cleansers are designed only for teenage or oily skin and can leave it feeling dry or irritated, especially if you have sensitive skin that reacts to the harsh ingredients acne products contain.
Ingredients In Acne Products:
Most acne products contain active ingredients like:
- salicylic acid
- benzoyl peroxide
- alcohol
- acetone
- isotretinoin
If the names of these ingredients sound like harsh industrial chemicals – it’s because that’s exactly what they are! Many people are sensitive to these ingredients, and when these are combined with foaming agents like sodium laureth sulphate, can be even more irritating to your already inflamed skin.
Acne Scarring:
Most acne products are designed to kill acne bacteria, but they don’t offer any means of repairing and preventing the scarring associated with pimples and acne breakouts.
So what can you do to get rid of acne without applying a “blow torch” method of acne treatment to your skin that also moisturizes and softens skin and prevents scarring or inflammation leaving you with a clear blemish free complexion?
That’s where you can use natural remedies to get rid of acne…
Using a good homemade antibacterial face wash followed by exfoliators that gently remove acne scars and then oils to nourish the deeper layers of skin and stimulate your skin into regenerating new skin cells. Oils like tamanu oil are fabulous for fading scars.
In 3 easy steps you can treat acne at home using naturally antibacterial ingredients including:
- honey
- tea tree oil
- aloe vera juice or gel
- extra virgin coconut oil
- rosemary oil
- banana (potassium retards acne bacteria)
- yogurt
- lime juice
- horseradish
- garlic
- oregano
- lavender oil
- neem oil
These all have natural antibiotic like effects on acne pimple bacteria. I suggest buying some extra virgin coconut oil – it’s low cost and is antibacterial for skin while moisturizing without being too greasy – these two qualities making it perfect for use on acneic skin.
How to get rid of acne in 3 simple steps:
Step1. Cleansing
Make an easy acne pimple cleanser from ingredients like lime juice, honey, yogurt and extra virgin coconut oil. Use a base oil to moisturize and clean your face that is naturally antibacterial as a base cleanser that gently lifts off dirt and makeup.
Rinse off with water that you have added a few drops of essential oils of lavender, neem or tea tree to. Rinsing with water that has antimicrobial additives is a great way to kill any remaining bacteria.
Step 2. Exfoliation:
Removing acne scars can be done with gentle exfoliation methods using brown sugar, tamanu oil, molasses, lime, olive oil (or better still extra virgin coconut oil) and a little water. You can also use fruits like pineapple, papaya or cantaloupe to add a protein dissolving boost to your exfoliator.
Oils perfect for removing scars are;
- tamanu oil
- Almond oil
- rosehip oil
- carrot seed oil
- argan oil
Rub on skin in circular motions for a few minutes then wash off.
Step 3. Moisturizing:
Follow your acne cleansing routine with a moisturizer of your choice with a few drops of essential oil added OR make your own moisturizing lotion with a mix of extra virgin coconut oil, Almond oil, rosehip oil (amazing for reducing scarring), tea tree oil OR lime juice and honey with beeswax to set your moisturizer. Coconut oil also has a low SPF rating offering another benefit of a homemade pimple moisturizer.
You can omit the beeswax if you like and just use this as a serum.
More acne and pimple skin recipes:
I haven’t gone into detail with quantities here because there are so many options you can choose depending on your skin type. For oily skins you can use less oil, for dry or mature skin you can add some incredibly nourishing oils that brighten your skin, reducing or preventing early wrinkles and many more benefits.
