Rather than spend money on commercial lightening products, you can make use of the many fruits and vegetables that offer skin lightening properties.
Many of these natural ingredients contain proteins, acids or enzymes that help to life dead skin cells and smooth out your skin leaving it naturally lighter or by actually lightening the pigment in your skin.
Ingredients to lighten skin include:
Cucumber, Lemon, Lemon oil, Almond oil, Chamomile tea, Licorice, Turmeric
You can make masks using any blends of these ingredients and leaving them on your skin for 10 to 20 minutes every other day.
A really easy to make skin tincture or mask can be made with 1/2 a mashed cucumber, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder and 8 drops of lemon juice (or a squirt). You can rinse off this mask with cooled chamomile tea as a lightening booster.
If you add a few drops of geranium, lemon or licorice oil to your face cream this will also help.
