Tea Tree Oil Acne Treatment

Tea tree oil is an amazing antibacterial oil that works wonders for acne prone skin. It is extracted from the leaves of the melaleuca tea tree. Tea tree or melaleuca originates from Australia and its sought after all around the globe for it’s healing fungal, bacteria fighting anti-septic properties.

A good tea tree oil is pure and does not contain added chemicals or fragrance.

Benefits of Tea Tree Oil for Acne Treatments

Unlike chemical based acne treatment ingredients, tea tree has no side effects and doesn’t dry out skin so is suitable for all types of skin. Because it is all natural and gentle on your skin – you can use it without concern of toxicity or irritation from preservatives, coloring or fragrance.

Tea tree oil helps to minimize pores leaving your skin looking smoother and tighter.

Tea tree does not stimulate oil glands making skin less oily over time. Many acne products dry skin and stimulate skin into producing too much oil to compensate.

It is non comodegenic meaning it will not clog your pores.

Cautions With Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree is a very strong oil and can irritate skin if you use too much. Only use 3% tea tree oil on your skin and never direct – only diluted in a base oil, cleanser or moisturizer.

Tea tree is very potent and works very effectively and can be added to body and face washes – or your favorite moisturizer. For specific recipes refer to Natural Homemade Skin Care Recipes
